Social MEDIA COORDINATOR
The Social Media Coordinator should be someone who has a heart for people and a love for thoughtful, faith-centered content. We’re not here to simply check off tasks. We are here to create and share words, images, and resources that God can use to encourage and transform.
Position: Remote, part-time Social Media Coordinator
Contract Duration: October 2025 - December 2025 with potential to renew
Compensation: Monthly Retainer
Time Commitment: ~10 hours per week

Responsibilities:
This is considered to be a leadership role. The Social Media Coordinator will oversee the back-end of content for Instagram, Substack, and/or the podcast, with guidance from Brooke. You’ll help implement systems to keep things organized and efficient, and make suggestions for growth.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on various projects that encompass a range of creative tasks. Your responsibilities may include:
SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATION + ENGAGEMENT
Produce static and video content for social media platforms (Instagram and Substack)
Oversee content calendar, ensure on-time posting
Collaborate on a strategy and assist Brooke in steadily increasing engagement
COPYWRITING / EMAIL
Craft compelling copy, preserving the brand voice, and engaging various audiences.
Assist in creating and formatting impactful email campaigns that resonate with subscribers
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Fine-tune all graphic design for these projects, ensuring that all content accurately reflects the Gentle Words brand.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Create and format downloadable resources, guides, and freebies. This includes PDFs, worksheets, or other digital materials that support faith, reflection, and growth.
TEAM MEETING
We’ll meet once a month (via Zoom or Google Meet) for about 2 hours to recap the past month, discuss upcoming posts and episodes, map out logistics, and brainstorm ideas. Your voice and input are valued in shaping Gentle Words.
Preferred Skills:
Brooke is looking for candidates with proficiency and enthusiasm in the following areas:
Copywriting: You’ll be comfortable creating and editing content that feels honest, encouraging, and consistent with the Gentle Words voice.
Email Marketing: Understanding of Flodesk and experience in creating effective email campaigns
Attention to Detail: Dedication to producing error-free and polished work.
Organizational Skills: Able to manage tasks efficiently and keep projects on track.
Brownie points:
Aesthetic: Proficiency in graphic design tools and an eye for aesthetics (ie. Canva, Adobe suite).
Willingness to Learn: Maintain a readiness to follow instructions to learn required software, systems, or processes.
Customer Journey Streamlining: Help ensure every interaction with followers, subscribers, and podcast listeners reflects our mission. Guide the audience seamlessly from discovering Gentle Words to engaging with content, accessing resources, and joining the community.
PAYMENT:
We’ll start with a 90-day training period and a monthly retainer. This time allows us to train on all the tasks, establish rhythms, and see how well we work together. If a good fit, pay will be determined based on skill set. Incentives and occasional bonuses will also be offered as projects grow and milestones are reached.
